Filipino – Korean opera couple Rachelle Gerodias-Park and Byeong-In Park is having their duet performance in BGC.

Rachelle Gerodias-Park is considered the country’s premiere soprano. Both Filipino and international music critics put her to high acclaim. She had her European debut at the “Volksoper Wien” in Vienna, Austria in 2008 where she sang the role of Liu in Puccini’s “Turandot”. She received an extended standing ovation in the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2009 New Year Concert. Several operas after Gerodias continues to woo audiences with her powerful crystalline voice.

International Korean opera performer, Byeong-In Park was making waves as an outstanding baritone in Europe and Asia before he met the love of his life, Rachelle. Among his several operatic credits include Germont in “La Traviata” in Seoul, Korea, Ottokar in Freischutz with the Philharmonie Reutlingen in Reutlingen, Germany. In Stuttgart he has Demetrius in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana and the title role of Eugene Onegin with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.

On October 14 and 21, 2018 at 7:00 PM, Rachelle will mount her first major concert at the BGC Arts Center Maybank Theater called “Madly Filipiniana” with Byeong In as one of the special guest performers.
