The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism operates 'Facts About Korea' and 'Friends of Korea' to promote accurate information and beautiful culture of South Korea worldwide. We welcome the support of those who wish to correct errors related to Korea abroad and share accurate information. |

** Successful applicants have to attend the launching ceremony (applicants residing overseas should participate onlline), non-attendance of the launching ceremony will result in disqualification
□ Overview
ㅇ (Number of Openings) Around 35 members
ㅇ (Period of Activity) August to December / about 5 months
ㅇ (Eligibility) Koreans and foreigners aged 18 or older residing in Korea or abroad*
* International applicants must be able to communicate in Korean at a level where they can fulfill thier duties as a member
ㅇ (Eligibility)
- Those who possess general knowledge about Korea and has an interest in the country, including its culture and history
- Able to utilize language skills to research and investigate presented in overseas media and report errors, able to promote services both online and offline
ㅇ (Preferred qualifications)

Language Proficiency | ▣ Bilingual in English and a second foreign language (preferential consideration for certified scores) * Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, French, Indonesian, etc. |
Relevant field experience/ career | ▣ Majors in relevant fields such as linguistics, journalism and media studies, international relations, international trade, etc. ▣ Professionals in fields related to journalism, cultural promotion, and international exchange ▣ Individuals with experience in error correction, content creation activities, or working in government/public institutions |
Other qualifications | ▣ Active users of social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube ▣ Exchange students, international students, and those involved in international exchange activities (preference for residents abroad) |

1. Log in to Facts About Korea (member sign-up required)
2. Under Menu of the Friends of Korea website, click on the 17th Friends of Korea Recruitment Notice
3. Submit your application form and a 2-minute self-introduction video
※Application is completed when the View Application button is activated)
□ Key Activities and Activity Format
ㅇ (Report Inaccuracies) Writing analysis reports about the distribution of Korea-related information overseas and reporting incorret information
ㅇ (PR Activities) Promoting Facts about Korea to both Koreans and foreigners
ㅇ (Activity Format) Activities will be conducted individually or in teams of 4-5 members.
※ Teams will be organized and announced by the coordinator

ㅇ Support for activity materials and expenses such as Activity Guidebook and souvenirs
ㅇ Opportunities to participate in various member activity-related events such as educational programs and conferences, etc.
ㅇ Record and recognition of member activity details on 1365 Volunteer Portal
ㅇ Issuance of member activity certificates(issuance criteria to be announced later)
ㅇ Friends of Korea Chief commendation certificates and awards for outstanding achievers
□ Notes
ㅇ Only applications submitted through the Korea Info Service website are valid; applications submitted by other methods will not be accepted.
ㅇ Applications saved as drafts can be modified until the deadline, but once finally submitted, they cannot be modified.
ㅇ Submitted documents will be used solely for review purposes and will not be returned.
ㅇ If the contents of the application are found to be false, the applicant will be excluded from selection, and any disadvantages due to errors or omissions in the application are the responsibility of the applicant.
