Call for KSIF Scholarship Students for Second half of 2023 (and first half of 2024)


 Objective

   ㅇ To help outstanding KSI students pursue careers based on their proficiency in Korean by funding degree acquisition or language    training at a university in Korea

- Mid- to long-term objective: to support the development of individuals capable of facilitating diplomatic exchanges between their country of nationality and Korea

 

 Scholarship term

   ㅇ Second half of 2023 (Sep. 2023~) and first half of 2024 (March 2024~)

 

 Availability

   ㅇ Degree programs: 00 students at 3 universities

   ㅇ Language training: 00 students at 3 universities

 

 Scholarship programs

   ㅇDegree programs: Opportunity to earn degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate) by completing degree programs at universiti    es in Korea

   ㅇLanguage training: Opportunity to enter language training programs offered by universities in Korea to gain a deeper understan    ding of the Korean language and culture

□ Eligibility

 Applicants should meet all requirements stated below.

   ① Foreign nationals whose parents as well as themselves do not have Korean citizenship

   ②KSI learners or graduates (proof of attendance or KSI certificate required)

Those who have completed elementary level 2B (Sejong Korean 4) or above or have Korean language proficiency equivalent to TOPIK Level 3 or above

Those who have completed elementary level 1B (Sejong Korean 2) or above or have Korean language proficiency equivalent to TOPIK Level 1 or above

   ③ Those who meet the requirements of each university (Please refer to the guidelines for applicants for each university.)

   ④ Beneficiaries of other scholarships offered by the Korean government, Korea-based universities, and other institutions are not 

      eligible.

 Documents required to be submitted

   ㅇ The KSI must convert each application document into PDF format and send a compressed (ZIP) file per applicant via email(janghak@ksif.or.kr) by the deadline(2023/8/25 18:00(KST)).

 Degree program: After the KSIF’s screening, the admission application must be submitted to the respective university.

  Language trainingApplicants who are accepted after passing the KSIF’s qualification screening and their university’s evaluation must submit original copies of all required documents.

Caution: If the applicant is not accepted due to failure to include one or more required documents, responsibility lies with the applicant.

□ Caution

 You are responsible for all expenses in Korea not covered by the scholarship offered by your school.

 Your name on the application forms should be identical to that on your passport.

 The application forms and supporting documents should be prepared using A4-sized paper.

 You are not allowed to apply for scholarships directly. Instead, you must submit your completed applications and supporting documents to your KSI, and the KSI will then submit the documents to the KSIF.

 Your KSI graduation certificate should be issued by the KSI you are attending.

 Before applying for scholarships, check the documents required for admission and eligibility in the guidelines for applicants of each university.

 Students who provide false information and who are unable to have a visa issued lawfully for entry to Korea will be disqualified, even after being chosen as scholarship recipients.

 In the case where a potential scholarship recipient is disqualified, the scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been placed on the waiting list according to total scores.

 Submitted documents are not returned and will be handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

 If, for a particular reason (e.g. withdrawal, transfer to another university), the accepted student must relinquish the scholarship, all provided funds must be returned within one month.
