87th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Announcement

The 87th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Manila will be held on April 9, 2023 for fully vaccinated applicants.

■ How to Apply

◦ Application Period: January 23, 2023 ∼ February 3, 2023

1. Pre-Online Reservation: January 23, 2023 ~ January 27, 2023

2. On-Site Registration: January 30, 2023 ~ February 3, 2023 (Mon-Sat 9:00 – 11:30 / 13:30 – 16:00)

※Pre-online reservation is strictly limited to one-time reservation per person per level. If multiple reservation is caught, the applicant will not be allowed to take the exam. Schedule of the onsite registration will be guided separately via email.

※Pre-Online Reservation link will be shared on KCC's official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KoreanCulturalCenterPH) on January 23^, 2023 at 9 AM.

◦ On-Site Registration Venue: 3F, Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines

※No proxy on-site registration is allowed except for immediate family members with their ID and government-issued documentary evidence (ex. Birth Certificate, Certificate of Family Relations etc.)

◦ Application Fee: PHP 1,000.00 (TOPIK I), PHP 1,200.00 (TOPIK II)

◦ Refund Regulation

• 1.January 30, 2022 ~ February 10, 2023: 50% Refund

• 2.February 11 onwards: No Refund

• ※Application fee will be fully refunded for applicants who is unable to attend the test due to Covid-19 positive with supporting medical certificate.

• ※Refund will ONLY be made through the bank account submitted to online reservation form.

◦ On-Site Registration Requirement

1. Completed application form with 2 Photos (3cm×4cm) of yours attached

2. Application Fee (CASH ONLY)

3. Original and a Photocopy of your Valid ID (ID must include your photo, full name, and the birthdate)

◦ Result Announcement Date: May 25, 2023 (Thu)

1. Announcement will be released on the official TOPIK website (www.topik.go.kr) after May 25, 2023

2. Copies of score certificates can be printed for free at the official TOPIK website (www.topik.go.kr).

■ Important Note

◦ All applicants must arrive at the testing classroom at least 30 minutes before the test

◦ Testing Requirement: Application (identification) Slip, Original copy of Valid ID, Government issued vaccination card, Correction tape, Writing instruments

※ Valid ID must include your photo, full name, and the birthdate

※ Applicants without an original copy of a valid ID are not allowed to take the test.

◦ Important Note on the Test

1. Only fully vaccinated applicants can take the test.

2. Applicants above normal body temperature range (36.5℃ to 37.5℃), with the Covid-19 like symptoms or positive for Covid-19 on the testing day, can’t take the test

3. Covid-19 positive applicants on the testing day must submit the medical certificate ahead of time for a 100% refund of the application fee.

4. Answer sheet for the listening/reading part must be filled with the two-sided pen given at the  testing site. If not, your test will be invalidated.

5. You must fill the answer sheet in order of each part only. (E.G. Listening answer sheet can only be filled during the listening part)

6. All kinds of electronic gadgets such as cell phones must be turned off and submitted to the proctor before the test starts. Your test will be invalidated if the electronic gadgets are caught during the test.

7. Test will be automatically canceled if less than 10 applicants applied for each test difficulty (TOPIK Ⅰ, Ⅱ).

8. No additional registration is allowed after the registration period.

◦ Important Note on Test Postponement(Cancellation) due to COVID-19 etc.

• 1.The 83rd TOPIK is subject to postpone due to unforeseen reasons (COVID-19 etc.) with prior notice. In case of postponement, the applicants can choose to reschedule to next test in the same year or get a 100% refund.

2. The whole TOPIK test in 2023 can be canceled due to unforeseen reasons (COVID-19 etc.), and the application fee will be 100% refunded to your bank account written in your pre-online reservation form. Substitution for the next year’s test is not available.

3. In the above case of test cancellation, the refund is only available for a maximum of 3 months from the date of the initial test cancellation announcement, and the not received(taken) application fee will not be refunded anymore after 3 months.
