Artist:
Oh New World is a contemporary Gugak duo with two young musicians playing the haegeum and gayageum. The team tries to musically express the spirit of a Korean phrase ‘On-go-ji-shin,’ meaning “adopting new things while keeping the virtues of old ways.”
The duo, mostly singing on the life of youth in their 20s, consists of Jang So-yeon (haegeum player and the team’s leader) and Kwon Aram (gayageum player and composer).
The team will play the music of healing and comfort for all the young people of today under the theme “Let Gugak Sing for the Youth.”

Sarang-ga (“Love Song”) sings of a love story of young lovers in their 20s, showcasing the duo’s uniqueness. The romantic ballad depicts a person who falls in love with a stranger at first sight. The work has been remade from the famous pansori song with the same title about Lee Mongryong and Seong Chunhyang, with a modern spin added for wider accessibility. 
The merry and adorable piece depicts a sweet love story full of Spring scents, singing “All my life I’ve waited for you. Now come to me.”
