Vocal, Performance Teams to Compete at 2018 Pinoy Kpop Star

The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) has released the list of competing individuals and performance groups for the ‘2018 Pinoy Kpop Star’ competition.

10 individual and performance teams from each category will compete to represent the Philippines in the online semi-finals of the '2018 K-POP World Festival' in Changwon, South Korea.

For the performance category K-pop cover groups Acethetic, Alpha, Class B, Fatal, GREAT, KAIJU X, (K)-IDLE, Magnitude 7.2, MIX’IN, and, NONAGON will showcase their talent in both singing and performance.

Vocal category finalists are Christelle Tolisora, Dennis Mangubat, G.Na, John Paul Manuel, Karyl Lagrama, Melosky, Merry Mia Sinaguinan, Racianne Castro Elorde, Sandra Faith Dela Cruz and Venisse Siy.

The grand prize winners of both performance and vocal categories will receive 20,000 pesos. The 2018 Pinoy Kpop Star grand finals will be held on July 22, 2018 5PM at Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City.

This year’s panel of judges is composed of Territory Lead for Asia Pacific and Canada, GMA International Virna Canete, Vice President of Pulp Live World Happee Sy-Go, The Philippine Kpop Convention, Inc. Vice President Jesmah Mananquil, K-pop Dance Diva and KCC Dance Instructor Dasuri Choi and KCC Director LEE Jincheol.

Gracing the event will be Korean Ambassador HAN Dong-man and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano.
