KCC 2ND TERM LANGUAGE AND CULTURE CLASSES: REGISTRATION SCHEDULE

The long wait is over! KCC will soon be accepting
registrations for the second term of our Language and Culture Classes! Please
make sure to read the guidelines and reminders thoroughly.


 


 


 


 


 


 


Guidelines


 


1. Due to the great demand of our Culture and Language classes,
we shall strictly implement the first come, first served policy for our four-day
registration period. We will not accept RESERVATION of slots for registration
and LATE applicants.


 


 REGISTRATION PERIOD


Sept. 27, 28, 29  (9:30- 7:30 p.m.)


October 1 (9:00-5:00 p.m.)


 


2. All interested students should personally
enlist for the classes at

KCC
(Bonifacio Global City) during the registration period only. Please be reminded
that registrations via email will no longer accepted. Please follow
accordingly.


 


 


3. ALL REGISTRATION FORMS will also be available at the Center
but we encourage the students to bring a printed copy of the (downloaded)
registration to save time in lining up during the registration period. Registration
forms may also be downloaded
from the Downloads
section of the KCC Homepage. (Please also check the attached documents to this post and/or
the Press Room).

4. Registration through a representative is allowed as long
as the said representative can present the
fully accomplished registration form,
photocopy of enrollee’s valid ID and an authorization letter (*a passport sized
photo* if there is no photo in the printed reg. form).


 


5. Students can enroll in several classes in KCC (i.e. language
class & culture classes). The allowable number of classes that the students
can sign up for will be at the discretion of KCC.


 


6. After submitting the registration form (with an appropriate
and recent

passport-sized photo), please prepare the necessary
class materials fee for
your desired class/es.


 


Please refer to the guidelines on our language and culture
classes for the class details on the fees and other important reminders (age
limit, class size, etc.).


 


7. The registration is complete once the slots have been confirmed
and the class materials fee payment is done. No slot will be considered confirmed
unless paid. Any changes on the schedule and classes should be done during
the registration period only
. We will not accept requests for refunds
or cancellation of class slots once the classes have already started.

Reminders for Interested Culture Class Students


 


START DATES:


•   October 5, 2011
- K-Pop Dance Basic (Oct. 6 - Advanced) & Cooking Class Session


•  October 8, 2011 -
Flute, Traditional Dance, Taekwondo, Introduction to K-Pop Singing, Explore
Korea through Music


 


 


Intro to K-pop songs:


•   Fluency in
Korean is NOT REQUIRED in this class.


•   This class will introduce
the wonders of K-pop music and the students will learn how to sing and enjoy
the songs with our very own noraebang (Karaoke).


 


Flute/Danso


•   A Korean bamboo flute is included in the
materials fee. Interested enrollees from all ages can join this class.


 


Traditional Dance


•   Grade school students
and adults can join and learn the traditional dance. Class materials fees include
the training shirt fee and other necessary class materials. Students have the
chance to perform at the class end ceremony in December.


 


Taekwondo


•   For those who wish to
skip basic Taekwondo and immediately take Taekwondo 2, our Taekwondo instructor
will give an assessment during the first day of classes. If the student fails
to pass,   the student has the option to join the Taekwondo class
1 or refund his/her class fees payment.


•   Class material fees include
the training shirt fee and other necessary class materials. The uniform option
will be given to the students during the first week of classes (by the instructor).


 


K-pop dance


•   K-pop dance classes will
be divided into two (2) categories: basic and advanced. The basic dance class
will meet twice a week while the advanced class will meet once a week. For students
who wish to join the advanced class, there will be an on the
spot talent test during the registration period.


 


Explore Korean music: Learn Korean songs!


•   Parallel to the K-pop
singing class, this singing class will teach different Korean songs and at the
same time enable the students (all ages) to learn the cultural aspect of Korean
music.


 


Cooking classes (*special registration*)


•   The class will be limited
to individuals aged 16 and above, old enough to use the kitchen utensils and
equipment.


•   Depending on the available
slots determined during the first runs of our registration, KCC will open the
registration for cooking classes until every Monday of the week. If there’s
availability of slots, KCC will make announcements here, on Twitter
and on Facebook.


•   There are two (2) class
session schedule teaching the same recipe which the students can choose from.
The class material fees shall cover all the ingredients and necessary class
materials.


 


Reminders for Interested Language Class
Students


1.   Please choose the class that is best suited
for your schedule.
Please make the necessary adjustments before signing up for
our classes and make sure that there will be conflict with your personal (work,
school, etc.) schedule.


 


Basic Korean: Chin-ggu, An-nyeong! – Students
are NOT required to take this course if they wish to join the Elementary Korean
1 class. We would like to remind the students who had previous back ground on Korean
that this class will focus on the basics of Korean alphabet and Korean culture.

Elementary Korean 1 - Unlike
the Basic Korean class, this class will cover more topics for a total seventy-two
hour class course. The class will run for ten weeks and the students will have a good foundation of Korean through
reading, writing and speaking.

Elementary Korean 2 - This course is
the continuation of Elementary Korean 1 as the students will get to probe more
on the intricacies of the Korean language. Priority will be given to previously
enrolled KCC students but it will still depend on the availability of slots.
Only those who will pass a simple diagnostic exam *during the registration period*
may take this higher level class.

2.   Basic Korean and Elementary Korean shall both
probe on the basics of Korean language with the latter being more intensive
and covering more topics. As much as we’d like to encourage that student take
Basic Korean first, students for this term cannot attend two (2) language classes
(i.e. Basic Korea + Elementary Korean 1) at the same time due to the high demand
of our language classes.


 


3.   Class material fees include the text book
and other necessary print outs
for the class. (For continuing students: Class
fee will be P200 only since the text book has already been provided)


 


4.  Class fees should be paid during the registration
period and please do not forget to submit or attach a recent passport sized
photo in the registration form. Please submit a photocopy of any valid ID as
well.


 


5.  After submitting the requirements and confirmation
of slots, we shall e-mail you some class reminders and see you on October 4,
2011
(Elementary Korean 1 & 2) and October 8 (Basic Korean)  for the
opening of the classes


 


6.  We will not accept requests for refunds or
cancellation of class slots once the classes have already started
. Any changes
on the schedule and classes should be done during the registration period only
.

Please make sure to download
and fill out the correct form and come to the KCC on the designated registration
dates
to sign up for your desired class/es.


IMPORTANT: If you downloaded
the forms uploaded before 5:30PM, September 8, please make sure to re-download
the attached forms and double check if you have the correct form
.
