Book Exhibit at Lyceum to highlight Han Style
December 12 and 13, Lyceum of the Philippines University
The Korean Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Lyceum of the Philippines University launched the Korean Book and culture caravan last December 12 and 13, 2012 at the Mabini Hall of LPU
The Korean Book and Cultural Caravan with this year’s theme of “A Feel of Hanstyle”, a flagship project of the Korean Cultural Center, aimed to bring to Philippine schools and universities the symbols of authentic Korean culture such as the Hangeul (Korean Alphabet and Language), Hansik (Korean Food), Hanbok (Korean Traditional Clothing), Hanok (Korean Traditional Architecture), Hanji Traditional Paper) and Hanguk Eumak (Korean Traditional music) through its library collection, performances and specialized classes to strengthen the awareness of the youth with regard to Korean culture.
The exhibit featured special class on sagunja or Korean traditional painting, performances from LPU Dance Troupe, CLEP Department, B.A.B dance group and the Center’s samulnori team. Also, the book exhibit conducted lectures about KCC and the history of Hallyu and film screenings as part of its program.
